How Our Judges Choose Bookmarks

• Theme 50%: Please submit a bookmark relevant to the theme, Books Spark Your Imagination.
• Artistry 50%: Use your imagination and be creative!
• Printing 10%: We know this goes above 100%, but please consider how well your art will print! Glitter, Matte, Sheen, and textures will be lost in printing.

What our Judges Won’t Consider

• Digital Artwork: Use only physical media to create your artwork.
• Copyrighted Material: Use original characters and artwork only. We cannot print copyrighted material.
• Not Relevant to Theme: Art must somehow relate to the theme.
• Artwork must be submitted on the Official Entry Form.

Contest Details

University Book Store will award a total of twelve prizes. Four prizes in each of the following grade divisions:

• Grades K – 2
• Grades 3 – 5
• Grades 6 – 8

Prizes include gift cards and art supplies.

Bookmarks selected for prizes will be displayed in Kids Books and will be printed for distribution by University Book Store. All entries become the property of University Book Store, and the decisions of the judges are final. Bookmark entries will not be returned. We urge you to photocopy your artwork before you submit it to us. University Book Store reserves the option to reproduce bookmarks for distribution and display entries within its locations. University Book Store reserves the option to display participants’ artwork, first name, last initial, grade, and school online at ubookstore.com and on social media. Employees of University Book Store and members of their families are not eligible for prize consideration.
