Readers Club

Stop into any of our stores to sign up.

What is the University Book Store Readers Club?

Readers Club is a program that rewards our loyal Book Shop customers. Get a notch in your Readers Club punch card for every $10 you spend in-store in the Book Shop.* For every $150 spent (15 punches), club members save $10 on their next purchase. And best of all, membership is free!

Who is eligible?

Anyone who loves to read can be part of the club.*

How do I sign up?

Ask about our Readers Club at any University Book Store location. We’ll ask for your name, phone number, and email address (all three items are required), and give you a punch card in return.

How do I get my discount?

Just show your Readers Club punch card to the cashier when you check out. For every $10 spent in the Bookshop, they will add one punch to your card. Once you've collected 15 punches, exchange your card for $10 in savings on your next books purchase.

Which items are eligible for the discount?

Anything you can read: new books, used books, bargain books, magazines, and newspapers.

Where can I use my Readers Club discount?

In the Book Shop* at any one of our six stores.

What other special benefits & rewards can I expect to receive as a club member?

As a University Book Store Readers Club member you will be the first to know about special book sales, author events, and more!

Where's the apostrophe in "Readers Club"?

In this case, "Readers" is an attributive noun instead of a possessive, so there isn't one.

*May not be used in Course Materials for purchases on textbooks.

Partners in Education program (PiE)

University Book Store values the contributions educators make to their communities. And that's why we created our Partners in Education program(PiE) – to reward your hard work.

Here's how it works: any pre-K–12 teacher, librarian, administrator or homeschooler is eligible for our PiE program. When you sign up, you'll receive a PiE card entitling you to a 20% discount on all qualifying classroom and classroom preparation materials from New & Used Books (excludes textbooks) and Supplies.

You will be asked to provide proof of your employment–a pay stub or valid teacher's ID–when you sign up. Homeschoolers must provide a letter of intent or lesson plan.

And remember, you must present your PiE membership card at the time of transaction to receive the program discount. All PiE cards expire once a year on August 31, at which time you will be asked to demonstrate your academic status.

Please use the following contacts for more information:

If you would like to apply by mail, download a PiE application form. Please include a copy of a recent paycheck stub, a current NEA or WEA membership card, or a current school ID. Homeschoolers can submit a copy of their lesson plan or letter of intent. Call 1.800.335.READ and ask for Kids Books for more information.

Some special orders, short discount book titles, textbooks, shipping services, Tech Center products, periodicals, and gift cards are excluded from the PiE discount. Additionally, the PiE discount may not be combined with other discounts or special offers and applies only to stock on hand.
